I Drew This in 10 Seconds… AI Turned It Into a Cartoon Character
Imagine for a second that your simple doodle could actually come to life. That’s precisely what occurred when I chose to give an AI tool one of my doodles, and the outcome was really astonishing.
For the most part, we associate drawing with artists. The gap between “I’m not good at drawing” and “I made something incredible” is breaking down, though, thanks to AI. A lively work of art can be born from even the most skewed sketch.
Transforming Ideas into a Storybook
I began by doodling a rudimentary kangaroo with two large ears, a round nose, and two little arms for Episode 8 of AI for Everyone. Drawing that took me no more than ten seconds. Just not worthy of a museum.
My scribble turned into a cartoon character fit for Pixar when I ran it through an AI art generator. This cartoonish drawing suddenly took on a life of its own. I thought it would be perfect for an animated film or a children’s book.
What makes AI so special is its ability to take unpolished ideas and transform them into something complete, polished, and shareable.
Its Significance
It is entertaining to see your sketches transformed into cartoons, I must admit. Yet, this is just the surface of the narrative. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as “artistic,” tools like this can help you unleash your creativity.
The whole family may join in the fun by drawing with their children and then seeing their creations come to life.
In the classroom, drawings can be transformed into characters for writing assignments.
Aspiring artists don’t need costly software or years of expertise to create figures for movies, games, or comics.
To rephrase, AI makes it easier for people to be creative. No further creative thinking is required.
The Pleasure of Trying New Things
Most importantly, each effort is one-of-a-kind. An unexpected path may be taken by the AI when you doodle. It can be shockingly touching at times and amusing at others.
But every time, it’s like watching a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat; you can’t help but be delighted.
The blank paper could be scary in traditional art, but AI makes it an invitation to play.
